Andie Wilson – Co-founder & PA to Ian Wilson
I enjoy addressing issues of inequality wherever they may be and with Bridge2Aid those opportunities have come in abundance! Whether it concerns access to dental care or caring for the elderly at Bukumbi Care Centre, being able to stand in the gap on behalf of others is a privilege. The friendships I have built with the community at Bukumbi are among those that I will treasure always, they have taught me to value what I have and remain true to my convictions.
Andie worked as a Senior Occupational Therapist in the UK, and between 1994 and 1996 she was Team Leader and Administrator with responsibilities for finance at The Bethany Project in Yitwimila village, Tanzania. Whilst there she met Ian, and on returning to the UK they married and set about the task of setting up Bridge2Aid as a means of seeing their joint dreams become a reality. As well as her Non-executive Director role and involvement with the Community Development team, she serves as the Finance Manager for B2A in Tanzania. She also runs a house and looks after four children!
