Jo Topley – Operations Director
Overseeing the work of B2A here in Tanzania is a real privilege and I love the fact that I am involved in all the different programme areas as well as the day to day operations and then linking them with the UK. The most enjoyable part of what I do is supporting and developing the team – allowing them to grow and take on more responsibility makes it all worth it!
Jo was formerly a ‘modern matron’ in Chichester, UK. With a background in training nurses, she now leads the planning of the dental training programmes for Rural Clinical Officers and Dental Nurses, and is Practice Manager for HDC. She heads the strategy for a long-term response to the Maskini’s problems. She moved to Mwanza in January 2006.
