Rachel Purdy - Project Co-ordinator
There is never a dull day! I love the variety that my job presents; from being involved in the day-to-day matters at Bukumbi, children’s education, volunteer teams, to the office-based work; seeking out grant and fundraising opportunities and planning and developing applications. Each day presents challenges, but it’s overcoming the challenges, the continuous learning and seeing the small steps of progress that keep me going!
Since graduating in 2004 Rachel has worked in the charity sector in Asia, Central America and more recently, for the health NGO Medicos del Mundo (Doctors of the World) in Gran Canaria. She moved to Tanzania in May 2009 and worked as a Co-ordinator for a conservation NGO in Dar es Salaam before moving north to Mwanza in January 2010 to join the Bridge2Aid team.
