Here come the Belgians…

Last year - the Dutch won...

This Saturday is our second ‘It’s a Knockout’ event in Birmingham.

Firstly, if you aren’t British, or are aged 25 or under, you need to watch this to understand what I’m talking about.

Last year, the event was one of my favourite days of the year.

It was FUN!

I got to hang out with my team in ways that I don’t usually. I got to see loads of our supporters and friends. I got to wear a chicken suit…

The weather was kind to us, I got covered in foam (must remember to close my mouth this year), I ate a lot of barbecue, and we came in third – very respectable.

This year we’ve worked hard to build on that family fun atmosphere, and tried to make it a day for everyone.

There will be the usual games in the middle where the adults get to have their fun, but there will also be a bouncy castle for the kids where they can bounce to their hearts’ content all day with out invoking the wrath of the event organisers (just don’t feed them too many burgers beforehand).

There will also be a large number of the B2A team there, from both Tanzania and the UK, and we’re hoping many of our friends who have volunteered and fundraised for us will also come along, whether they are braving the games or not.

Relationships and fun are two of our core values as an organisation, and with most of our work based 4,500 miles from the UK, making those connections is sometimes hard.

On Saturday, we’ll be together. It should be a great day.

If you would like to sponsor the B2A team, you can still do it :)
