What We Do
Amy Stillwell
Amy is a Clinical Photographer with Cardiff and Vale NHS Trust. Having been out to Mwanza as a volunteer in 2007, she was so keen to support Bridge2Aid's community development work that she decided to return in 2008 - this time with parents Bill and Jan!
As part of the annual Bukumbi Work Team, Amy, Bill and Jan spent two memorable weeks cleaning, scrubbing, painting, building and generally assisting in the renovation of Lwango Dormitory to provide a clean, safe, comfortable, welcoming living environment. For many of Bukumbi’s residents, it was the first time they have ever slept on a mattress, had a pillow to rest their heads on, or had a secure locker to store their meagre belongings.
