Why did you get involved in supporting B2A as a company? |
|
What has made you continue the partnership?
The more we experience the great work this organization delivers the more we know it’s the right thing to keep connected. Furthermore, B2A’s brand is a positive reflection for the ethics of A-dec and forms part of our overall profile.

What things have you done as part of your involvement? Personally, my wife and I travelled to Mwanza in February 2006 in order to experience the DVP program, better appreciate their community work and install a complete A-dec dental system in HDC – what an experience! I’m honoured to have been asked to speak at a recent B2A event during the BDA conference and my wife volunteered to promote the 3 Peaks Challenge during the recent BDTA Showcase. |
Professionally, the B2A team have become an extension of A-dec’s display at two annual trade show events: BDA and BDTA, plus many other support programs aimed at raising B2A’s profile and much needed operational funds.
What benefits have you seen in your team?
The positive impact to A-dec employees has been immense. Knowing they can actually make a contribution which WILL make someone’s life better is priceless for moral and team dynamics. So much have the A-dec team been touched by B2A’s work that almost half are signed up to take part in the 3 Peaks Challenge.
Have there been any benefits for your business?
While this is more difficult to measure, I’m convinced that being connected with any good cause is an appropriate part of 21st century business. The specific dental connection can only be a bonus and anecdotal evidence – many positive comments from customers – has confirmed our support is well noted.

What would you say to a company contemplating involving their company and employees with Bridge2Aid? If you have the time go and experience for yourself the great work B2A does in Tanzania. You can not fail to be impressed by the sheer compassion of all three initiatives: DVP, HDC and community work. |
|
In summary, there are personal and professional benefits to being involved with B2A. While it is not possible (nor necessary) to calculate the actual benefit it’s easy to “feel” you’re doing good and just as easy to see your efforts translated to the point of need.
