Bukumbi Diary February 2008
6th February 2008Over the last two weeks we have had the privilege of introducing several guests to the community at Bukumbi. Last week Chris Barrow and Annie Bradley from Breathe Business spent the morning meeting the community and hearing about our work at Bukumbi and this week Steve Turnock and his team from Practice Plan visited to take a look at where they might be working later this year, and meet the community they’ll be working with as they are planning to send a team out to renovate one of the buildings. Both visits were great fun and the community really enjoyed meeting new people. It’s always encouraging for us to be able to introduce people to the community. As they are a community who mean so much too so many people who are part of Bridge2Aid. The word for the last 2 weeks has been ‘HOPE’, all those who visited Bukumbi left feeling such a sense of hope about the community and we look forward to them returning and being part of the future of Bukumbi. |
