B2A Dental Volunteer Programme

We operate trips for dental volunteers three times a year in February, June and October. The volunteers support RCO training, and are also heavily involved in delivering basic dental services in the rural areas. Each thirteen-day trip has spaces for up to 6 dentists and 4 nurses or hygienists willing to act as hygienists/nurses. A minimum of 2 years post-graduate experience for dentist applicants is required. |
The Dental Volunteer Programme (DVP) was developed in partnership with Dentaid during 2004, and we are very grateful for their support in helping to establish the visits. Since then we have run the programme ourselves.

There is heavy demand for places on the DVP, and the trips for June and November 2008 are now full. However, to apply for February 2009 onwards, or to join a standby list, please download the application pack and return to the office.
