Over the past 5 years, we have hosted 100s of volunteers in Tanzania who have added immeasurably to the work that has been achieved in restoring smiles and changing lives.

Also, in the UK, volunteers play an active and vital role in supporting our work, fundraising, providing administrative support and many other things which maximise our efficiency and reduce the number of paid staff we need.

CSR

Ways for you to volunteer

Come to Tanzania on a Bukumbi Work Team!
Each year, a team of volunteers flies out to Mwanza and works closely with the community at Bukumbi Care Centre on a renovation or similar project. It's open to anyone over 18 - and it's a great way for supporters to see practical and tangible changes through hands-on hard work!

Help in the UK - Project Support
We need volunteers in the UK, and sometimes also in Tanzania, who have project management skills. Whether it's a year on placement supporting our practical programmes, or a few hours a week in helping us to establish a new fundraising project or programme, we can make good use of your time. Fundraisers
Our network of Local Group Fundraisers (LGF) raise a great deal of money and interest in our work by giving their time to organise fundraising events for us. Anything from coffee mornings and jumble sales to charity black tie dinners - it all makes a huge difference to people in Tanzania. Contact Kerry to find out how you can help. 

Dental Professional Volunteers

Dental Volunteer Programme - Can you join us for 2 weeks in Tanzania, on a programme that will positively effect 60,000 Tanzanian people long term? Our dental volunteer programme (DVP) for dentists and nurses is a unique model that uses volunteers to build a sustainable dental service. Locum Dentists - if you can spare 2 weeks or more you could work in our clinic in Mwanza, Tanzania - Hope Dental Centre. HDC is a commercial clinic that generates an income. 100% of the profits are used to sustain and fund B2A in Tanzania - contributing over £30,000 each year!
